The COLUMBUS electric wheel impact wrench is a special machine which is designed mainly for undoing and tightening wheel nuts on heavy vehicles, such as trucks, buses, earthmovers, agricultural tractors etc. Obviously, the unit can also be used for other purposes where access and space permit.
The COLUMBUS is extremely simple and convenient to use. Just move the unit into position and adjust the socket level with the wheel nut. All subsequent operations are carried out easily using the two handles on the machine. The nut runner itself does all the hard work.
The impact wrench operates at extremely high force. The machine is equipped with a rotary flywheel which delivers all of its energy to the wheel nut in the form of an impact. The machine socket tube is provided with one inch square socket drive for power sockets. An ingeniously designed spring system makes the machine body almost weightless, minimising the effort required to adjust the height.
The COLUMBUS is practically maintenance-free, except for a couple of greasing points. Spare parts, power sockets, square adapters are available from stock at all times. The machine is available with work lighting as an option.
